The Second Game: D2

The second game in the franchise had a lot of hype going into it. The community was promised new worlds. better patrols. A completely new mind set we would need to complete raids. A story that was told properly unlike the last game. Away with grimoire score/cards and hello to a story inside the game. The weapon system would also be changed. We were promised so many things but Bungie over hyped this game. Which is what lead to it's downfall

The failure

After people finally got a taste of the game for what it was it didn't take soon for after the honey moon period for people to realize how shallow the game really was. Patrols were just you doing public events, the crucible didn't changed from side-arms to auto rifles and SMGS taking over, the raid wasn't even that good. The only good thing about it was the boss while the 3 events weren't really that hard. Where's the challenge? The secrets? Bungie had a problem that they couldn't solve. D2 was meant for a more casual audience not for the hard-core audience that stayed with them for the past 3 years so they quickly lost players. This is what lead to Destiny 2 to becoming the game it is now. A mess that nobody can clean up.

        D2 DLC2: Warmind

The second DLC Warmind came out May 8th, 2018. With 5 months of work people were expecting more out of this expansion. What we instead got was just DLC 1 but a little more. A new planet. Some new exotics. They brought back a few like the Sleeper Simulant and some balance changes to the crucible since auto rifles rained supreme but now it's pulse rifles which is a bit worse if I'm being honest. Another raid that I have not attempted yet as of May 17 2018, but so far I've heard it's a challenge so I'm exited for to try it. They changed the leveling system and the new highest is 385 power. Basically a group of players can level them selves up to the highest in about 3 weeks give or take while a solo payer will do that much in about 1-2 months so Bungie is trying to make players play together now. So far the expansion is not what people wanted but is a step in the right direction. Some things people are mad about though is that PS4 is the only platform that got a new original strike while everyone else just got strikes that were story missions

The Road map

After realizing that they're really not telling the community their future plans Bungie had decided to make a road-map. This way all the players can stay in-touch with what they're doing. Honestly a lot of the features that they're adding should have been in the game from the very beginning. Private matches, Rumble, things that were in Destiny should have been there since the beginning. When people saw this they were happy with what they saw because to them Bungie was listening. This was just on of the steps took to make this a game better but they'll need to make a lot more steps until the game is back in a place where I can enjoy it once again.

D2 DLC 1: Curse of Osiris

The first DLC for the new game Destiny 2. Came out 3 months after it's release and was lack luster at best. It had a short story with an enemy that would have been cool being a raid boss but you kill it in the story. You meet Osiris who you've only heard stories of and the raid wasn't a raid. It was called a raid "lair" it was just 2 jumping puzzles, an encounter that was a lot of fun and a boss that was that was also pretty cool, but that was it. A new Power of 335 and that was all you could do. Reception of this wasn't good by the community and Bungie even issued an apology on their website.
