Taylor Swift was born December 13,1989 to Scott Kingsley Swift and Andrea Swift in Reading, Pennsylvania. Taylor Swift’s grandmother was a professional opera singer, and Taylor followed in her footsteps. By the age of 10, Swift was singing at local events, fair, and contest. She also sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game at the age of 11. A year later, she started writing her own songs and learn guitar.
IN 2006, Taylor released a single called “Tim McGraw”, the song became a Top 10 hit on the country charts. In her self-debut album her song “Our Song” hit No.1 country music hit. She also won the Horizon Award and Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Female Vocalist in 2007. In 2008, Swift was nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist.
In 2009, after winning MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video, Kanye West leaped to the stage during her acceptance speech and took the microphone and declared that Beyoncé should win have won Swift’s award. After being interrupted, Beyoncé accepted the award next year and allowed Taylor to finish her speech.
Taylor Swift has become very popular. In 2010, she became the youngest artist to win the Grammy Award of the Year for Fearless. Later that year she released, a new album Speak Now which was debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
