Life Story

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born in Houston,Texas on September 4, 1981. Her parents are Matthew Knowles and Celestine Beyoncé. Beyoncé has a younger sister, Solange Knowles. Beyoncé attended St. Mary Elementary School in Frecericksbury, where her talent was first discovered. She attended a dance class and her instructor told her about her future potential. Knowles' interest in the arts began to grow. At age seven, she sang a song at a school talent show and won. Her voice was so magnificant that she started recieving attention from press, Beyoncé was even mentioned in the Houston Chronicles.
The next year she met LaTavia Roberson and Kelly Rowland while at an audition for an all-girl entertainment group. They later formed a group call Girls Tyme. Girls Tyme competed on 'Star Search" in 1993 and placed 2nd. This was the first big step on Beyonce turning into powerful musical inspriration.
This group was later changed to Destiny's Child. In 1997 Destiny's Child had a hit single named "No, No, No Part 2" The follow-up album.
Just recently, Beyoncé had twins. The Writings on the Wall(1999).This album won 2 Grammy Awards and in 2001 they reached number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart for album Survivor.Although, the girls were really close, there was an obvious leader, Beyoncé.
The girls ended up parting ways and starting their own individual careers. Beyoncé used her talents and created her first solo album which featured a song with rapper Jay Z called "Crazy in Love". This album won 5 Grammy Awards , including best contemporary R&B album and best female R&B vocal perfomance.
Knowles ended up marrying featured "Crazy in Love" artist, Jay Z on April 4, 2008.The couple kept the wedding very quiet.Jay Z said,"...I'm going to say, I think that was a ridiculous question. I just think it's really a part of your life that you gotta keep to yourself...You have to, or you'll go insane in this type of business." They couple just wanted to keep to themselves for a while. Later on in August of 2011, Beyoncé revealed that she was pregnant. The couple welcomed theri daughter Blue Ivy Carter on January 7,2012.
After the baby, Beyoncé career started to stay on the low until April 2016 when she dropped an album called Lemonade.This album received a lot of attention. Even Serena Williams made a cameo in the Lemonade's "Sorry" video. The album won 5 awards. One being a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Also in February, she performed at the Super Bowl, highlighting her new hit single "Formation."
In February of 2017, Beyoncé and Jay Z announced that they were having twins. The twins were born in June of 2017. One girl and one boy, their names were Rumi and Sir. The family has been living happily ever since.
